ArrowNew Client version 2.2.0 available!

Today the ESO-Database client version 2.2.0 was released. This version contains the long desired file compression feature. Before your data is transferred to the server, the data is compressed, which reduces the file size significantly.

I've just been seeing and receiving reports over the last few months that file size can increase significantly with multiple accounts and many characters. The growing size is due to the number of new features, e.g. now all completed Quest IDs are exported, and there are more and more recipes and drafts in the game. All this leads to the fact that this feature has found its way into the client.

For the future, I plan to add a setting to balance adjustment between compression and performance. So you can decide for yourself if you want to invest more computing power and transfer less data or if you want to invest less computing power, e.g. because you have a fast internet line.

Some minor performance optimizations have also been made to the client. All together an update to the new version is strongly recommended because of security updates in the encryption.

If you have feedback about the compression, please send it in via the contact form.
